Center Overview
Our investigative site is part of a multi-specialty clinic with more than 3000 sq ft of dedicated space for clinical trials.
Our clinical trial center is manned by well experienced and dedicated research staffs with solid background in medicine and related fields. Aside from their hands on experience they also updated themselves by attending seminars sponsored by some pharmaceutical companies. Our site is working towards departmentalization to promote efficiency and accountability.
The site also have vast experiences with different clinical trials from anti-infectives, asthma, COPD, sinusitis, musculoskeletal, endocrine, rheumatology, nephrology, gastroenterology and cardiovascular studies to name a few. We have a good tract record of always getting the minimum number of patients randomized if not one of the top enrollers in almost all the clinical trials that we embarked on.
We have experienced working with Novartis, Glaxo-Smith Kline, Merck, Astra Zeneca, Pharmacia, Pfizer and other Pharmaceutical companies. We also have worked with various CRO's.
We also worked with various IRB's and central laboratories. We can also utilize local laboratories and Imaging Center which are less than a quarter of a mile from the site.
The medical center where the site is located boast of more than 50,000 electronic database of patients with varied economic strata, ages and ethnic backgrounds. It also houses state of the art equipment from treadmill, x-ray, endoscopic equipment, ultrasound, echocardiography ,lunar, bone densitometry, electromyography and other equipment for emergency care.
Facility Description
Our investigative site has more than 3000 sq. ft. of dedicated research space. It has 2 dedicated rooms for monitors, regulatory room, a spacious double locked drug room, 2 storage rooms: 1 for records/books, 1 study related paraphernalia, mini laboratory space, boardroom and 2 examination rooms.
The site is part of a multi-specialty clinic with 8 examination rooms, a radiology division that housed an x-ray machine, ultrasound machine and bone densitometry. It also has a cardiovascular division with treadmill and echocardiogram. The rehabilitation division has various state of the art equipment for physical rehabilitation and electromyography. Endoscopic equipment is also available for esophagogastroduodenoscopy and colonoscopy. The medical center also has state of the art equipment and medication for emergency care with cardiac monitor and defibrillator.
The site is accessible by public transportation and near main thoroughfares and freeways. The nearest airport is John Wayne Airport which is about 15 miles and LAX is about 18 miles. There are many hotels within 2-3 miles from the site as well as amusement parks most notably Knotts Berry Farm and Disneyland which is about 5 and 10 minutes drive from the site respectively.
The nearest hospital from the site is Anaheim General Hospital which is less than a mile. There are other hospitals within 2-3 mile radius from the site where our investigators are affiliated with.
Patient Demographics
The investigative site draws patient for the multi-specialty clinic with more than 50,000 active database. This comprise of 30% Pediatrics and 70% Adults. Ethnically divided into 30% Caucasian, 40% Hispanics, 25%Asians and 5% others.
The site very seldom resort to advertisement to meet the minimum number of subjects required per clinical trials.
